True North Analytics

Privacy policy

Last updated September 2026. True North Analytics (ABN 24 726 502 584) is committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you contact us we collect the details you give us — typically your name, business, email, phone number and a description of what you need. Our website also records anonymous usage information (pages viewed, referring site, device type, approximate country) to help us improve it. We do not use tracking cookies and we do not build advertising profiles.

How we use it

To respond to your enquiry, scope and deliver work you engage us for, send you information you've asked for, and understand how our website is used. We do not sell personal information.

Where it's stored

Enquiries and website analytics are stored in a database located in Sydney, Australia, hosted by Supabase. Our website is served by Vercel and email notifications are delivered through Resend; both are US-based providers, so the contents of an enquiry email pass through their systems in the course of delivery. We don't otherwise send personal information overseas.

Cookies

The public website does not set tracking cookies. Analytics use a daily-rotating anonymous identifier that is not linked to you. A single functional cookie is set only for our own administrators when logged in.

Retention

Enquiry details are kept while we're in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping, then deleted. Anonymous analytics are kept for up to two years in aggregate.

Data breaches

If a breach involving your personal information is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

AI services

Where we use AI services in tools we build or operate, we use commercial APIs whose terms prohibit training on customer data. Your information is not used to train public AI models.

Access and correction

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing info@truenorthanalytics.com.au.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, contact us first and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
